THE OPPORTUNITY

  •  Real Estate Business Analytics (REBA) is on a mission to change how apartment owners and operators use data. A well-funded, 5+ year-old start-up software company in the real estate technology space is seeking a BI Reporting Analyst to help contribute to our visual BI product and assist our customers with custom reporting requests. With the direction of an established and experienced leadership team, this position will utilize our game-changing data model to provide our clients with a ‘single source of truth’ reporting experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced self-starter to get in early on a modern business intelligence development effort. As the company grows, there will also be opportunities to transition into other related analytics and data modeling initiatives.  

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build and iterate upon our out-of-the-box PowerBI report offering, ensuring reports reflect BI best practices and meaningful business metrics.

  • Work with customers and customer service managers to design and deliver custom PowerBI reports
  • Partner cross-functionally with Implementation, Customer Success, Product, and Go-to-Market teams to ensure reporting aligns with product strategy and customer needs
  • Represent the Reporting team and our customers in data model and metric design discussions

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Business Intelligence & Consultative Expertise

  • Experience translating ambiguous business questions into well-defined requirements
  • Strong understanding of BI best practices (dimensional modeling, designing for your audience, metric standardization, performance optimization, scalability, etc.) 
  • Comfort acting as a subject-matter expert in client discussions

Technical Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerBI report development
  • Experience building paginated reports using PowerBI Report Developer 
  • Excel proficiency

Communication & Other Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience working in collaborative settings with both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Experience in multifamily housing and/or single-family rental environments preferred 

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience using DevOps
  • Experience with Data Modeling
  • Experience in SaaS
