Reports and Dashboards Manager – REBA BI 

The Opportunity 

Real Estate Business Analytics (REBA) is on a mission to change how apartment owners and operators use data. A well-funded, 5+ year-old fast-growth software company in the real estate technology space is seeking a full-time Reports and Dashboards Manager to lead our Reporting team and help scale REBA BI, the Business Intelligence product that puts our customers’ data to work through Power BI. 

In this role, you will lead a team of 4 BI Reporting Analysts inside the Reba BI pod, reporting to the Reba BI Product Manager. You will coach the team on report development and client work, review their output for quality and consistency, and help set priorities across the team’s workload. You will also stay hands-on – building and owning custom and complex PowerBI reports yourself – and represent the Reporting team in data model and metric design discussions. You will coordinate across the BI ecosystem – Implementation, Customer Success, Product, and Go-to-Market – to ensure reporting aligns with product strategy and customer needs.

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership 

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4 BI Reporting Analysts, providing day-to-day guidance on report development and client work 
  • Review and QA the team’s report output for quality, performance, and adherence to BI best practices 
  • Coach analysts on dimensional modeling, metric design, and translating ambiguous business questions into requirements 
  • Help prioritize and distribute workload across the team in partnership with the Reba BI Product Manager 
  • Support onboarding and ongoing development of team members 
  • Champion the use of AI tools to accelerate report development and day-to-day team workflows, grounded in strong BI fundamentals 

Hands-On Delivery 

  • Continue to build and iterate upon our out-of-the-box PowerBI report offering, ensuring reports reflect BI best practices and meaningful business metrics 
  • Own custom and complex PowerBI report builds for customers and customer service managers 
  • Represent the Reporting team and our customers in data model and metric design discussions 

Cross-Functional Partnership 

  • Partner cross-functionally with Implementation, Customer Success, Product, and Go-to-Market teams to ensure reporting aligns with product strategy and customer needs 
  • Work with the Reba BI Product Manager to align reporting priorities with the broader BI roadmap 

What This Role Does Not Own 

  • The outcomes-based BI roadmap and product vision, which are owned by the Reba BI Product Manager 
  • Data pipelines, including design, development, and monitoring 
  • Writing production code or reviewing engineering pull requests 

What You’ll Bring 

Required Experience 

  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, or managing a team, with comfort balancing hands-on delivery against coaching and reviewing others’ work 
  • 5+ years of Business Intelligence experience, including translating ambiguous business questions into well-defined requirements 
  • Strong understanding of BI best practices (dimensional modeling, designing for your audience, metric standardization, performance optimization, scalability, etc.) 
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerBI report development 
  • Experience building paginated reports using PowerBI Report Builder 
  • Excel proficiency 
  • Comfort acting as a subject-matter expert in client discussions 
  • Ability to set priorities and delegate work in a team setting 

Preferred Experience 

  • Proficiency in SQL 
  • Experience using Azure DevOps 
  • Experience with data modeling 
  • Experience in SaaS 
  • Prior experience leading or managing a BI or reporting team 
  • Experience in multifamily housing and/or single-family rental environments 
  • Experience using AI tools to speed up report building, QA, or documentation work

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to manage constantly changing and sometimes conflicting priorities 
  • Experience working in collaborative settings with both technical and non-technical personnel
